A Revival: The Buchla Synthesizer
The Buchla synthesizer (1966/67 model) from Ernst Krenek’s estate has attracted considerable attention since its renovation in the summer of 2017.
In the Ö1 broadcast “Zeit-ton” on 31 May, Marie-Therese Rudolph retraces the hype, speaks with artists about their fascination and creative work with the historical sound machine, and of course the music will not be neglected. Also participating will be Clemens Zoidl, the archivist of the Ernst Krenek Institute.
