Special Covid-19 grant by the Ernst-Krenek-Institute-Private-Foundation

In the spirit of Ernst Krenek, who was versatile and actively creative in such varied forms, the Ernst-Krenek-Institute announces a Covid-19 project grant of 2,000 euros. Through the awarding of the grant, an artist will receive support in the current crisis situation, and the development of new artistic works will be stimulated.

Eligible are artists in all fields with their main residence in Austria. The only stipulation is that the submitted project must have a connection to the life and/or work of Ernst Krenek.

To be submitted are:

  • an anonymized description of a specific artistic project that will be realized with the aid of the grant (no name should not appear in the document or in the title of the document)
  • a curriculum vitae including an account of one’s artistic career up to now

Submission deadline: 30 June 2020. Project submissions that arrive after this deadline cannot be considered.

Selection process:
The project will be judged and selected by the management team of the Ernst-Krenek-Institute according to the following criteria: creativity / originality / feasibility.The results will be announced by 15 July 2020. This is a voluntary assistance to which there is no legal claim.

Procedure:
After acceptance, the project is to be finished by 30 September 2020. 75% of the amount will be remitted upon acceptance, 25% after completion.

Usage of funds:
The grant is bound to the realization of the project. The designated usage of funds is to be verified by means of a short project report as well as pictorial and sound material, depending on the type of project, and after consultation with the Ernst Krenek Institute.
The project will be publicized on the website as well as the social media platforms and the Newsletter of the Ernst-Krenek-Institute.

Your personal data will be used for the purpose of processing your submission and for the handling of the grant. Your information will not be passed on to third parties.
